Day 63 - 9 Weeks Later

I figured this is a good week to show some updated progress of the tank. This is how it currently looks on Day 63. It has been exactly 9 weeks since I planted the HC. As you can see the growth is significant since Day 49 (Week 7). The middle portion of the tank is nearly carpeted, the sides still need a few more weeks to grow out.

Day 49 - 7 Weeks Later

Sorry for the update delays. I've been rather busy with the holidays and was experiencing a few computer problems so I haven't had time to take an updated photo. This photograph was taken today on Day 49 (Week 7). As you can see the growth is more pronounced. By the end of next month (4 more weeks), I expect the carpet to be more complete. The next update will be in a few weeks when the carpet is more filled in.

Day 28 - 4 Weeks Later

This is a photo 4 weeks after planting, the HC shows significant growth since Day 1. Better coverage could have been achieved if more sprigs of HC were planted on the first day. The daily misting of Excel helps to keep the soil moist.

Day 21 - 3 Weeks Later

The HC is definitely starting to grow faster. The "wait period" that HC usually goes through seems to be complete and new growth is more noticeable.

Day 14 - 2 Weeks Later

This is a photo taken 2 weeks after "Conception" on Day 14. The gravel shown below is a bit too moist, so the photo didn't come out too well; it doesn't show the growth clearly. There is a good amount of growth that occured these last 2 weeks. The HC is very healthy and new sets of leaves sprout every few days.
